For teams: Does your AI need the cloud?
Run It Local

Done this work for real? Turn it into a protocol.

If you’ve helped a company get its knowledge ready, or run AI on hardware a company controls, we’d like your idea for a protocol or a weekly issue. Our readers are People, HR, and Ops leads and founders at 50–500 person US companies.

What makes a good protocol

  • Practical. One job, start to finish. Use the format: indications, contraindications, equipment, steps, checks, handoff.
  • Vendor-neutral. Name tools when they matter, including your own, and offer reasonable alternatives.
  • Sourced. Every statistic, benchmark, or spec links to where it came from.
  • Honest. Real time and difficulty. What went wrong is often the most useful part.
  • Plain English. Written for a People Ops lead, not an engineer. Commands go in an appendix.

What we won’t run

  • Pure product pitches or announcements.
  • Legal or compliance advice presented as fact.
  • Anything about using AI to screen, score, or make decisions about people.
  • Real employee or customer data, even in examples.

How to pitch

Email feedback@folktechai.com with a working title, two or three sentences on the idea, what you’ve actually built or run, and any relationship to tools you’d mention so we can disclose it. A pitch is enough. Please don’t send a finished draft first.

We edit for length and clarity, check sources, and send you the final version before it runs. Contributors are credited by name, and any company relationship is disclosed.
